Very Happy

Bought 2 of these for my boys for an upcoming snorkeling trip in January, but one of them has worn his to the indoor pool as the water is so cold (and he is so skinny) it makes him turn blue and shiver after just a short time. He was finally able to swim for over an hour without turning colors! I usually have to pull him out and warm him up after 30 minutes for fear of hypothermia, but this wetsuit allowed him to maintain a good body temp until we were all ready to go home. I'm very happy with this product so far and will purchase larger sizes as he grows.

As for sizing, I think the size chart from Neosport was close, but we needed to order up a size because of long torsos. According to the chart, my small 9 year old was in the middle of the height range for size 6 and upper end of weight range for size 6. My 6 year old was in the middle of the height for size 4 and low end of weight for size 6. I got them both a size 6. My 6 year old has a long torso so I figured the extra length would be good for him. Size 6 fit him great. It was too small in the torso for my 9 year old though. We exchanged it for size 8 and it fits nicely. I would recommend going by your child's weight to determine sizing. If your child is at the upper end of the weight range, then size up.

It's a rashguard, not a shirt

 This is a rashguard, and it fits like a rashguard is supposed to. If they sized them like shirts, no surfer would wear one because it would be horrible when used for its original purpose.

The reason so many people are having size problems is that rashguards were originally made to wear under a wetsuit. They were to prevent rubbing and chafing, which can be a problem with long days of surfing, and they also help improve the warmth to some extent. They need to be very tight, as no one wants to be paddling out and have a loose shirt moving around and creeping up to your armpits, under your wetsuit. The sizings are correct if you use them under a wetsuit. I wear a medium shirt and can wear a medium rashguard just fine, but if you're buying this for a sunshirt or a beach shirt, even if you're playing around in the water, do what everyone suggests and buy one that's a lot larger. If you want it for surfing (even if you're in tropical water and are just using it as a sun protection top) buy the size it lists, or you're likely to find it won't stay down in place, even if you use the loop to fasten it to your trunks.

Excellent DVD for all you windsurfing beginners out there

I'm new to windsurfing - I've spent six 2 hour sessions on the water and so I would describe myself as a beginner.

This DVD is excellent for taking the novice to an intermediate level with all the fundamental skills in place. Jem Hall explains everything very clearly and well and each section includes a summary and Jem's 'top tips' to help you remember the most important points.

It comes as no surprise to find out that Jem is a top coach because he gives excellent explanations and the DVD is worth every cent in terms of what you can learn and put into practise. Really good buy

Really great product. Honestly I cannot complain. I am a size 43 which i believe is US9.5. I ordered this size and it works really good along with the inner boots. The straps are pulled to the max so baybe i should have ordered the Medium but they are great. Love the size because of the storng currents. I realize that once you get into the water they help a lot. I would consider getting a smaller strap but the finsize is great especially wit the boots. If your shoe size is 43 or smaller then consider getting a thick inner boot. If your shoe size is bigger then your should be perfect.

A super board for learning how to sail!

I had an excellent experience with the BIC 225D. I initially purchased a Mistral 130L Explosion board, but quickly found out that I couldn't master it. First, I was trying to sail in weak wind, and did not understand the basics. I didn't take lessons, so I used YouTube for the how-to in windsurfing. You would be better off by taking lessons, but I intended to do this all by myself. The 225D allowed me to do just that. The board is very stable and allows for major mistakes of a beginner. It is easy to stand on and sail even on waves. As you can see in my pictures I still have the boom installed way to high and my learning has much future. I would recommend the board to a beginner any day.
